Shukriya Bradost is a Ph.D. student at the School of Public and International Affairs at Virginia Tech University. Her main area of interest is international security, focusing on security in the Middle East. She is currently working on her doctoral project, which is the securitization of ethnic groups in post-revolutionary Iran. She has published op-eds and provided commentaries about the Middle East’s geopolitical developments in various global media, such as Al Jazeera, Jerusalem Post, Observer, and Iran International. Her academic papers have been presented at different conferences, such as the Cambridge University conference on the Middle East, and the ASMEA 13th Conference.
