Hejar Berenji
Hejar Berenji is the U.S. Representative of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran (PDKI), where he engages with policymakers, think tanks and international stakeholders on issues related to Iran, regional security and the future of democratic governance in the Middle East. Mr. Berenji brings over a decade of experience in the media world. Born in Iranian Kurdistan and later resettled in Canada, Mr. Berenji’s perspective is shaped by both professional expertise and lived experience. He has been actively engaged in advocacy related to human rights, pluralism and federalism as a framework for long-term stability in Iran. In his current role, he focuses on advancing dialogue around sustainable solutions to Iran’s internal and regional challenges, emphasizing democratic transition, inclusive governance and the recognition of national rights within a unified political framework. Mr. Berenji regularly engages with international institutions, policy platforms, and media outlets, contributing analysis on Iran, Kurdish political dynamics and the Middle East.
